Jason Williams, Colin McDonald Sent Down

After last night’s 3-2 shootout loss to the Montreal Canadiens, the Penguins announced this morning that Colin McDonald and Jason Williams have been reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Williams had 1 goal and 1 assist in 8 games, while McDonald has gone scoreless in 5 games.

Pair this news of them being sent down with a lot of the Penguins beat writers talking about how strong Jordan Staal is looking in practice, and it’s easy to assume that this means Jordan is ready to come back. I sure hope so!

We’ll see once Saturday’s game against the Winnipeg  Jets rolls around.
